The Hybrids
Have you seen any animal-like humanoids? They’re the hybrids, falling in the more human side of the spectrum. These beings are not bound biologically by much, and their cultures stay separate unless they had some historical influence between them. There are many types of hybrids, and you will be able to find them under this post or on the next hyperlinks.

H-Keishiko || Flying hybrids
Legends have been heard of hazardous birds of enormous sizes, though legends tend to do a lot of hyperbole. The Keishiko used to be one species only, through time they developed into contrasting beings that adapted to different environments. It is uncommon for the Keishiko communities to interact with others, that is why most other races know little of them, only hearing legends and stories.
Keishiko names do not follow any gender system. Their names are a union of their name and a Lineage name, the latter usually refers to their family’s history, either by a title, a family business or any remarkable aspect of them. The Lineage names work like a surname and in marriage, it is the couple who decide what happens to their Lineage names and which one do their children take, this is a spoken agreement done during the union but discussed before.
While their wingspan depends on the type of environment they have adapted to, they have a minimum of 75cm (2ft 5.5inch) or,being a bit bigger than their arms if splayed out.
AppearanceAt first glance, a Keishiko looks like a normal human, though of course that would be if you omit the wings they carry on their back. They have clawed hands and feet, and certain patches around their figure that grow feathers instead of hair.Their wing patterns develop to mix themselves with birds around their area, having them be more colorful on jungle biomes and more brownish on the desert biomes. Their hair colors tend to match their wings, skin and eye colors do not differ from humans. Though uncommon, it is not weird to see a keishiko with a beak, those being more prevalent on males. |
Personality
While there are no specific or homogeneous set of personality traits, the keishiko tend to be proficient in the technological, but also on the magical, creating a bridge between those worlds that has made some of the best artifacts. As such, most of the greatest inventors are of the keishiko race. They are prone to be independent and prefer smaller groups of people rather than bigger crowds.Names

Traits
Size
The Keishiko are a bit smaller than a normal human, having their average at 1,64m(5 ft 4.5 inch). Their height ranges from 1.69m (5ft 6.5inch) to 1.58 (5ft 2inch).While their wingspan depends on the type of environment they have adapted to, they have a minimum of 75cm (2ft 5.5inch) or,being a bit bigger than their arms if splayed out.
Agethey can age up to 130 years, reaching adulthood at 29 and elderhood at 100. Those milestones mark the start and end of their ability to use their wings safely.LanguageThey used to have a language where their names come from, but currently all Keishiko speak Common, the human tongue, due to their scattering through the world.GlidingBecause of their wings, they are capable of gliding through the air and landing safely, though they are not able to fly as their wings are not strong enough to elevate them from the ground. |
Origin
Their origin is mostly heard of through myths and tales of "the great aerial one" or "the greater one". This being is supposed to be the original flying hybrid, from whom the rest of them come from. Nowadays, they are scattered all over the world.Last edited by CCcyan_ on Sun Feb 26, 2023 6:55 pm; edited 3 times in total (Reason for editing : edited the personality section)
H-Sióquic || Fox hybrids
Hiding in the forests, red spots around a berry bush can be seen, the Sióquic are sly creatures that have taken cold forests as their homes. With their fox-like appearance, it is not strange for them to have a closer bond with those under the varsic umbrella.
They aren’t too big, usually smaller than a human. When talking about tails, female Sióquic have up to 4 tails, while males can have up to 7, this originates from an ancient dynamic in the species where females would have to choose the male she would find the prettiest(or the one with most tails). This tradition is not commonly followed anymore.
This does not mean all their culture is based on economics, as they have been known for their feats in battle with their striking strategies and improvised planning.
AppearanceThe Sióquic share many aesthetic features with foxes. They have similar looking ears and tails, having their fur ranging from dark red to light orange. The most common eye colors are deep blacks and amber tones, there are no Sióquic with blue or green eyes. In terms of skin, they don't differ from human tones, but it is common for them to be hairier, covering that skin in certain areas. |
Personality
These hybrids are quite clever, being known for pulling off surprising strategies and doing the most impressive business. Though not all of them use their wits for money or a personal gain, it is not a thing that leaves their mind easily.This does not mean all their culture is based on economics, as they have been known for their feats in battle with their striking strategies and improvised planning.
Names Sióquic names are simple, they do not rely on surnames and they are usually one word. While this is their traditional naming, it is common for them to adapt to the varsic naming conventions (they can be found on the siovarshi page) Some examples of traditional sioquic names include,

Traits
SizeThe Sióquic have developed as a medium-sized race, with a 1.64m average, ranging from 1.66m to 1.53m. Their tail length can range from as long as their torso to being twice their height, though this can be uncommon on multiple tailed beings.AgeThese hybrids age up to 65 years old, reaching adulthood at 10 and elderhood at 55. When aging, elder Sióquic might have their fur turn white in some or all of their limbs.LanguageThey commonly speak a dialect of Varshaadi, not too different from the base language but very influenced by the structures or vocabulary in Common, with such they are also able to speak Common fluently. |
Origin
This race developed in cold taigas and regions, though a big portion of their history happens next to the varsic swamps. This then influenced their culture greatly, as can be read through above. Currently, it is very likely to see abandoned or random settlements around forests, their distinct architecture will show you that they are, in fact, created by these foxy creatures, who have a knack for traveling, leaving their projects behind.Last edited by CCcyan_ on Sun Feb 26, 2023 5:49 pm; edited 1 time in total
H-Pelaukikui || Axolotl hybrids
Separated from humans a long time ago, the Pelaukikui adapted to a life in the sea by becoming amphibians, developing gills protruding behind their ears and growing a big and colorful tail that helps them swim and attract both fish to hunt and mates to partner with. They were given the name of Pelaukikui or kikuis (Sea Humans in Palui) by sailors, but they are also known as Siopaisgor and aquatic humans.
Appearance
Their skin has a turquoise glisten to it, out of the water it would seem as if they were always wet. Their skin tones and eye colors usually range around very pale cold colors, on the contrary, their less humanoid features are more vibrant and could shimmer in almost any color. Their hands and feet are clawed, with a membrane between the fingers and toes, this, to help swimming. The most common hair colors tend to be darker and non-human blueish colors. In terms of visual changes, Pelaukikuis do not age past their teenage years, their gills do start decaying when they get older, which is a sign of death for the being. |
Personality
Due to their tribal life, they don’t have shared morals. Only one thing stays the same for every single one, your family, found or biological, is the most important thing you have to protect. It is very rare to find an alone Pelaukikui, as they would always have either a partner or a family to come back to, this situation of abandonment could make them lose their gills, having to go on land and relearn how to use their lungs again.Names
Kikui names are usually simple concepts, given to them by their parents, it is very common for teenagers to change their names or have them changed by their family, found or biological. Names are 2 syllables, genders differentiated by phonetics in them: Male and neutral having a th and kuh sound respectively and female starting with an s sound. They do not have surnames.Male names (th) | Female names (s) | Neutral names (k) | |
Kikui names | Cruthux, Thundal, Glathen, Thirgal | Saglal, Sobsul, Sire, Scaller | Laskos, Geki, Karyr, Jurku |
Palui names | Peuther (peutera-brave) Bethau (Betau- sound) | Stalla (Stallarui- star) Seprui (sprui- surprise) | Kafat (kafatau- attack) Taku (petakui- company) Aska (Aska- great) Kete (Kete-they) |
varsic names | Díthson (Ditsoan- peaceful) | Siorta (síortíd- Cyan), Sabha (Sabha- Shadow) | Kerde (Cerd- Extra) |
Traits
AgePelaukikuis age at a slower rate than humans. Their physical appearance stops changing after their teenage years, so you can detect an older pelaukikui when seeing their gills start decaying, this process is slow and happens over a decade until it's the being's time. The oldest ones being 80 years oldSizeThey are smaller than humans, ranging from 4 feet 2inch (1.3m) to 4feet 7inches (1.4m). Their weight is smaller than a human’s though raised by their tail’s mass, this would increase it from 120-155lbs (55-70kg) to a 142-167lbs (65-80kg), making their tails around 22lbs (10kg)LanguagesUnderwater, they speak kikui, an older language that uses water as a medium, which makes it hard to use on land. Because of this, depending on their background, they would speak Palui or Common when out of the water.BreathingThey have gills and lungs. Underwater their gills allow them to breathe with ease, but, out of the water, it takes practice to adapt to using lungs since it is as if they "forgot" how to use them. With no lung usage, they can stay around 4 hours out of water in humid areas and less than 1h in dried areas. |
Origin
The first Pelaukikui made contact with Palui sailors long ago, these humans took the habit of adding the smaller hybrids to their crew for navigation or other tasks they would be proficient in.The kikui can now be found in underwater caves on southern Farnir, most of the oversea population finds itself in port towns around that area or towns with water access to the sea, though this is very uncommon.
